  • Diagnose infrastructure, network, application-platform, and deployment-related challenges.
  • Implement observability tools covering logs, metrics, tracing, alerts, and system health monitoring.
  • Collaborate with software developers to optimize workflows and deployment strategies.
  • Create self-service tools and platform capabilities enabling efficient engineering operations.
  • Support modernization of applications, cloud migration processes, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Design infrastructures that are highly available, fault-tolerant, and resilient to disasters.
  • Implement backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.
  • Work closely with cybersecurity teams to deploy cloud security measures and maintain secure platform architectures.
  • Manage identities, access permissions, secrets, encryption methods, network security, and infrastructure policies.
  • Ensure compliance and security requirements are upheld throughout the platform's lifecycle.
  • Track cloud resource consumption and assist in infrastructure cost management efforts.
  • Establish governance policies for cloud accounts, subscriptions, environments, assets, and configurations.
  • Conduct capacity planning and optimize performance of cloud and platform infrastructure.
  • Participate in incident management including response, root cause analysis, and postmortem improvements.
  • Maintain thorough technical documentation, architecture diagrams, runbooks, operating procedures, and platform standards.
  • Evaluate emerging cloud services, infrastructure technologies, automation tools, and platform engineering methodologies.
  • Support platform upgrades, technology transitions, and lifecycle management tasks.
  • Define and monitor operational metrics such as availability, latency, deployment rates, and recovery benchmarks.
  • Continuously advance automation, scalability, security, reliability, and the developer experience of the platform.

Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Prior experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or related roles.
  • Proven expertise with cloud service providers including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
