Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned software engineer specializing in Java to join a distributed agile team focused on commercial virtual payments.

  • Lead the design and development of a premier "In Control" platform for commercial payments.
  • Drive innovative payment technology solutions and deliver products worldwide.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and senior leaders to define business needs and prioritize development tasks.
  • Mentor less experienced engineers and provide architectural insights.
  • Ensure alignment across related product suites through architectural collaboration.

Candidate Profile

  • Expertise in Java development and architecture with hands-on experience using Spring and Hibernate frameworks.
  • Proven track record of delivering scalable solutions on a global scale.
  • Strong familiarity with agile methodologies, actively engaging in team discussions such as retrospectives and requirement elaboration.
  • Proficient with RESTful API design, JSON, and SOAP APIs using Java, including debugging server-side API interactions.
  • Experience or knowledge in cloud native application development, such as Cloud Foundry or AWS environments.

Corporate Security Responsibilities

  • Adhere strictly to company information security policies and practices.
  • Protect the confidentiality and integrity of all accessed data and systems.
  • Promptly report any suspected security breaches or violations.
  • Complete all required periodic security training as outlined by Mastercard guidelines.
