Java Software Engineer

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Java Software Engineer with expertise in full stack development and cloud technologies. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Java 21, Spring Boot 3.x, and have significant experience working with Microservices and RESTful APIs. You'll be contributing to development using AI-assisted coding tools and collaborating with teams to improve productivity and code quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement microservices architectures and RESTful APIs.
• Manage APIs using Apigee API management platforms.
• Develop front-end applications using React or Angular with TypeScript.
• Utilize Google Cloud Platform services such as Cloud Run, Cloud SQL/AlloyDB (PostgreSQL), Pub/Sub, IAM, and Cloud Logging.
• Employ Docker, Git, and CI/CD pipelines for streamlined deployment and development workflows.
• Use IntelliJ or Eclipse as primary development environments.
• Leverage large language model coding assistants like GitHub Copilot or Gemini Code Assist daily to enhance code, generate tests, and develop deployment scripts, while critically reviewing AI outputs.
• Collaborate with agent-based tools to boost developer efficiency and maintain high-quality code standards.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Experience in mainframe modernization or familiarity with COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and observability tools like OpenTelemetry or Dynatrace.
• Background in automotive, insurance, or financial domains.
• Relevant certifications in Google Cloud technologies.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• 5 to 9 years of hands-on full stack development experience, with at least 3 years working on public cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
• Proven experience in Agile and Scrum team environments.
• Strong communication skills in English are essential.
