Role Overview

Join our growing Platform Issuance team in Singapore as a Senior Software Engineer (IC3), where you'll create solutions to enhance partner onboarding, liquidity management, fraud prevention, and card analytics. You'll work autonomously within a cross-functional team including product managers and analysts, influencing not only how but what we build.

Responsibilities and Expectations

• Architect and develop microservices-based, event-driven systems with robust APIs and relational databases.
• Design resilient and scalable software systems that ensure reliability and security.
• Commit to writing maintainable, well-tested code with effective observability and proactive management of technical debt.
• Adopt a strong product mindset linking engineering choices directly to customer benefits.
• Ensure user-friendly APIs that are well documented to optimize partner experiences.
• Take end-to-end ownership of projects, from problem analysis, solution design, implementation, deployment, to performance measurement and roadmap planning.
• Drive accountability for system availability, reliability, and security within the team’s scope.
• Work independently and collaboratively, owning technical roadmaps and project deliverables.
• Communicate complex concepts clearly and adaptably to diverse internal stakeholders.

Required Skills

• Experience in building microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Proficiency with relational database management.
• Strong API design and development capabilities.
• A track record of producing scalable and resilient systems.
• Commitment to software quality, including testing and observability.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka technologies.
• Background in developing financial APIs.
• Knowledge of card payments industry, as issuer or acquirer.
