Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer skilled in C++ to join our team in Toronto, Ontario. Key Responsibilities

• Engage in development activities within a result-oriented setting focusing on C++ and MVC frameworks.
• Collaborate with technical leaders, architects, and scrum teams to deliver scalable, dependable, and secure software solutions.
• Design and execute application architectures aligned with technical and business requirements.
• Contribute ideas to enhance products by leveraging business and market knowledge.
• Focus work efforts on critical applications and middleware services essential to business operations.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation.
• Provide advanced (4th tier) technical support aligned with ITIL V3 problem management processes.
• Participate in project planning and execution following Scrum and Agile methodologies.

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution.
• At least five years of professional experience using C++ in a development environment.
• Strong understanding of relational database systems and proficiency in SQL.
• Experience managing source code with tools such as Git or SVN.
• Ability to effectively collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated skill in designing and building real-time business applications.
• Familiarity with enterprise platforms like ServiceNow, Jira, and SharePoint.
• Sound knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile methods (particularly Scrum), as well as change and release management.
• Interest and awareness of AI-assisted development and automation to enhance engineering productivity.
