Role Overview
Join a dynamic team as a Senior Software Engineer with architectural responsibilities in Nelson, New Zealand. This position involves working closely with AI-enhanced software development and architecture in a permanent onsite role. Key Responsibilities
- Lead software architecture and design initiatives for business-critical platform features, data flow, and integration projects.
- Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to understand requirements and align technology solutions accordingly.
- Develop, test, and maintain scalable and reliable applications within a small, specialized development team.
- Engage in solving complex technical challenges ensuring system performance and scalability.
Skills and Experience Required
- Demonstrated expertise in senior-level software engineering including experience with modern .Net frameworks and architectural principles.
- Strong interest and experience with AI-driven development practices, including familiarity with Claude AI tools.
- Good understanding of DevOps culture and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Proficiency with front-end UI frameworks such as React.
- Sound knowledge of database design and management.
- Experience with cloud platforms and software integration techniques.
- Excellent communication abilities with a capacity to analyze problems and conceptualize broad solutions.
Additional Requirements
- Candidates must reside in or be prepared to relocate to Nelson as this is an onsite position.
- A full New Zealand driver's license and long-term working rights in New Zealand are mandatory.
