Position Overview
The Senior Software Development Manager will lead the engineering team responsible for evolving the NHI Governance domain within BeyondTrust's Pathfinder product suite. This position involves building and guiding a high-performance engineering team that develops a platform-native module along with secure, scalable services powering cloud and on-premises SaaS solutions. These services enable customers to discover, evaluate, and manage non-human identities (like service accounts, workload identities, secrets, keys, and AI agents).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage software engineering teams focused on cloud-based or SaaS products.
- Engage effectively in architectural and design decisions with a solid technical foundation.
- Foster adoption and responsible utilization of AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code.
- Deliver complex software projects on time while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Collaborate with product and design teams within an agile framework.
- Utilize knowledge of cloud-native development, microservices architecture, and public cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Develop and mentor engineering team members to nurture their growth.
- Resolve complex problems, providing clarity and direction in ambiguous situations.
- Communicate effectively across technical and business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with identity security domains including IAM, non-human identities (NHI), secrets management, cloud IAM (AWS IAM, Microsoft Entra ID), and OAuth/OIDC protocols.
- Proven experience delivering multi-tenant platform services for internal engineering consumers.
- Background in leading teams during initial module or domain development (from zero to one).
