Senior Software Developer (Java & Kotlin)

Project Overview

The client, a leading investment bank in Southeast Asia, is developing a comprehensive platform focused on the end-to-end processing of Structured products, primarily targeting Equity derivatives. The platform aims to resolve current challenges efficiently without sacrificing performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute individually by demonstrating advanced software coding competencies, strong understanding of software architecture, object-oriented design principles, and design patterns.
• Lead the implementation and pilot new solution and application initiatives, emphasizing clean coding practices and test-driven development (TDD).
• Develop end-to-end highly available REST APIs, stream processing, and batch applications using Java and the Spring ecosystem (including Spring Boot, Integration, MVC, Security, Data, Batch), alongside technologies like Kafka, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL.
• Execute development and release phases effectively ensuring quality and robustness.
• Translate system requirements into clear software design artifacts and coordinate with both internal and external technical teams.
• Review and optimize existing application designs to improve scalability, performance, maintainability, and robustness.
• Participate actively in code reviews to maintain high-quality coding standards.

Mandatory Requirements

• At least 8 years of professional experience developing with Java and Kotlin.
• Strong expertise in the domain of Equity derivatives.
• Experience in building multi-tiered and distributed application service architectures.
• Proven ability in designing and building RESTful web services, with a solid grasp of REST architectural constraints.
• Hands-on knowledge of CI/CD pipelines including build tools such as Gradle or Maven, continuous integration using Jenkins, and source control management with Bitbucket or GitHub.
