Senior Back-end Software Developer - Java/Spring

Project Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Java Developer with expertise in DevOps and Infrastructure to contribute to a Data Centre Migration initiative for a major banking client.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and support Java-based applications and microservices architectures.
• Create and implement systems for monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure operational stability.
• Adhere to security standards throughout the development and deployment lifecycle.
• Diagnose and fix problems encountered in development, testing, and live production setups.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including software engineers, QA, and product management to deliver robust solutions.
• Keep abreast of the latest Java development techniques and DevOps practices.

Required Expertise

• Over 7 years of total professional experience.
• Advanced knowledge in Java backend development, specifically microservices, Spring Boot, collections framework, low-latency programming, multithreading, and concurrency handling.
• Experience with infrastructure and DevOps, including a solid understanding of deployment workflows and server operations.
• Familiarity with server connectivity and management, along with basic resource management like RAM and CPU allocation.
• Hands-on experience with container technologies such as Kubernetes and Podman.
• Proficient in creating pipelines and managing CI/CD processes.
• Practical experience working with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the banking sector.
• Background in financial markets and familiarity with trading system development.

Language Skills

Professional fluency in English (C2 proficiency level).
