Role Overview

We seek a Senior Security Analyst to play a pivotal role within our Cyber Defence Operations Centre. You will take lead responsibility for handling complex security investigations, enhancing the effectiveness of security outcomes for Kordia and our clients, and driving improvements in detection and response capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead detailed investigations and triage of advanced second-line security alerts and incidents.
• Manage security incidents from detection through to full resolution, escalating critical threats to specialized teams when necessary.
• Analyze security events and produce clear, actionable remediation guidance.
• Identify and implement improvements to detection methods, tune security controls, and enhance managed security services.
• Champion initiatives in security orchestration, automation, and data enrichment to increase efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with security tools and infrastructure components.
• Contribute to the creation of customer reports, documentation, process refinement, and ongoing service enhancements.
• Mentor junior staff including interns, graduates, and emerging analysts to foster team growth and knowledge sharing.
• Provide after-hours support for handling security incidents as needed.

Candidate Profile

• Extensive hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations, ready to embrace increased responsibility and complex challenges.
• Proficient with technologies such as Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, Sentinel or other SIEM platforms, threat intelligence tools, network security, and email protection systems.
• Strong understanding of network protocols and common authentication mechanisms.
• Up-to-date knowledge of prevailing cyber threats and attack vectors.
• Possession of the SC-200 Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate certification, mandatory for this role.
• Additional qualifications in security and networking, with certifications like AZ-500, SC-300, or SC-400 considered advantageous.
• Ability to address complex security problems collaboratively and effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
