Senior Protection Testing Engineer - Saudi Arabia, Jeddah

Join Siemens' Smart Infrastructure Customer Service team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia as a Senior Protection Testing Engineer. Siemens leads in digital power distribution enabling smart, safe, secure, and efficient buildings and energy systems. Key Responsibilities

• Operate and test Siemens SIPROTEC 4 and 5 protection relays.
• Handle protection relays from ABB, GE, and SEL manufacturers.
• Conduct testing and maintenance on medium voltage switchgear, including current transformer (CT), voltage transformer (VT), control relay (CR) tests, and circuit breaker (CB) timing.
• Perform testing and upkeep for low voltage switchgear (CT, VT, CR tests).
• Carry out advanced protection function testing such as busbar, distance, and line/transformer differential protection.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems across high, medium, and low voltage levels.
• Investigate faults thoroughly and determine root causes.

Qualifications and Skills

• A bachelor's degree in Electrical Power Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 10 years of experience in a comparable protection testing engineering role.
• Strong technical knowledge of medium and low voltage switchgear testing and commissioning, including expertise with Siemens and major vendors' protection relay testing.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including critical thinking, organization, communication, coordination, creative solutions, programming, and leadership abilities.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English.
