Job description
Role Overview
This position involves managing coordination and supervision of maintenance work within public housing estates under designated Town Councils. The incumbent will liaise with contractors on cleaning, conservancy, landscaping, horticultural duties, and various improvement and cyclical projects to ensure standards are upheld.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate contractor activities for upkeep of common areas including cleaning and landscaping in public housing estates.
- Conduct on-site inspections and follow up on defect rectification with contractors.
- Issue work orders, monitor repairs, and manage payment processes.
- Engage residents for feedback and ensure callback services post defect repairs.
- Collaborate with grassroots leaders on maintenance matters and assist in organizing grassroots initiatives.
- Participate in community events such as MPs' house visits, grassroots and upgrading meetings, often after office hours.
- Respond promptly to urgent issues referred by management and grassroots units.
- Conduct cross-audits on estate inspections, arrears visits, and other assigned special duties.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum qualifications: Higher Nitec or Diploma in Facilities Management, Building, Real Estate, Engineering, Business Management, or related field.
- Relevant internship experience in property, estate or facilities management, or building maintenance preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
