Role Summary
The Senior Program Scheduler is responsible for developing and managing program schedules in partnership with Program Managers and project teams. This role focuses on large, complex programs, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timelines. The individual will drive ongoing improvements in program management systems and processes, facilitate communication and collaboration within and outside the team to align efforts, troubleshoot scheduling challenges, and enhance PMO services in alignment with evolving business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain comprehensive program schedules supporting Program Managers.
- Oversee scheduling activities for complex, large-scale programs while ensuring on-time, in-scope, and within-budget delivery.
- Continuously improve scheduling methodologies, tools, and PMO capabilities to meet dynamic organizational requirements.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across multiple functional areas to ensure alignment on scheduling matters and problem resolution.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience with performance management systems.
- Project management education or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques.
- Experience using Open Plan Professional scheduling software.
- Familiarity with Defence Program Management standards is advantageous.
