Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Senior Procurement Officer specializing in Indirect Procurement to strengthen our procurement team in Doha, Qatar. This role entails comprehensive management of indirect procurement activities within hotel operations, focusing on supplier oversight, timely sourcing, cost control, and contract compliance all aligned with premium hospitality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire procurement process for indirect categories in hotel operations ensuring efficient and quality acquisitions within budget.
- Coordinate RFQs, RFPs, tendering, and evaluate bids while conducting supplier negotiations effectively.
- Analyze expenditure trends to spot and implement cost-saving strategies.
- Formulate strategic procurement plans for assigned categories.

Supplier and Contract Management
- Build and maintain robust supplier relationships ensuring compliance with company procurement policies.
- Conduct supplier performance evaluations focusing on KPIs and SLA adherence.
- Source, vet, and onboard new suppliers suited to organizational demands.
- Negotiate commercial terms, manage contracts, and facilitate reviews with legal and finance stakeholders.
- Ensure all procurement documentation is accurate and ready for auditing.
Reporting and Compliance
- Generate detailed procurement and spend analysis reports.
- Maintain updated procurement records and supplier databases.
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies and support audit processes.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting procurement needs.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 to 8 years of procurement experience, including at least 3 years in the hospitality industry.
- Proven experience with luxury hotels, resorts, hospitality groups, or mixed-use developments preferred.
- Prior working experience in GCC region favored.
Technical and Professional Skills
- Strong grasp of procurement principles and contract management.
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities.
- Analytical acumen and reporting skills.
- Excellent vendor negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to multi-task and perform well under pressure.
