Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Pricing Analyst to join our expanding Pricing team located in Macquarie Park, NSW. This full-time permanent position focuses on leveraging data to guide influential business decisions. The role involves analyzing pricing and profitability data while collaborating with key stakeholders from Sales, Category, and Finance to enhance commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver pricing recommendations and commercial insights supporting new and existing business ventures.
- Examine customer, product, and pricing data to uncover opportunities for profitability enhancement and growth.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to shape commercial strategies and implement effective pricing policies.
- Provide support for major client contracts, bids, and negotiations to secure optimal financial results.
- Lead pricing-related projects and contribute actively towards initiatives that foster revenue growth, margin maximization, and operational excellence.
- Continuously improve pricing methodologies and tools by applying analytical expertise to boost efficiency, data quality, and scalability of pricing models.
Qualifications & Experience
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities with an aptitude for interpreting complex data to identify commercial opportunities.
- Proficient in advanced Excel techniques and experienced in handling large datasets, financial models, and business analysis.
- Strong communicator able to effectively articulate insights and recommendations to diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability in stakeholder engagement and influencing decision-making processes across various business functions.
- Possess a tertiary degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Data Analytics, or related disciplines, combined with a proactive and adaptable learning attitude.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Pricing, Commercial Analysis, Finance, or Business Analytics.
- Familiarity with analytical tools such as Power BI, SQL, and Python.
- Background in sectors like mining, industrial manufacturing, or distribution environments.
