Senior Partner Solutions Engineer

Overview

Join Akamai Technologies as a Senior Partner Solutions Engineer based in Causeway, County Kerry, Ireland. This role is part of the Partner Enablement Team, collaborating with Channel Managers, Partner Account Executives, and service/support teams to empower partners to identify, pitch, and sell Akamai's innovative solutions. You will design and deliver tailored partner training strategies to foster mutual growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with partners to accelerate acquisition of new customers.
• Enable partners to independently market, sell, implement, and support Akamai products.
• Organize training sessions and enablement workshops for partner sales, pre-sales, and architecture teams.
• Create partner-specific enablement plans aligned with combined sales strategies.
• Work closely with the Channel Sales team to monitor and drive partner progress and success.
• Conduct feedback sessions with local presales teams to identify and address partner challenges.
• Participate in quarterly business reviews with partners to gain insights and feedback.
• Advocate partner needs to product, marketing, and services teams to enhance partner success.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
• A minimum of 7 years’ experience in partner/customer-facing roles such as technical pre-sales, account/project management, or consulting.
• At least 7 years of expertise with Internet Technologies including HTTP, DNS, and SSL.
• In-depth understanding of security technologies such as WAAP (WAF), DDoS mitigation, Firewalls, and VPNs.
• Experience or knowledge of channel go-to-market strategies.
• Familiarity with Cloud Security, CDN architectures, solutions, and products.
