Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior .NET Developer to take part in transitioning our accounting platform into a cloud-native Unified Accounting Service and to contribute to shaping the future of AI-embedded financial products. This role involves hands-on engineering where you will design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native services while adopting AI-assisted development tools. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Architects, UX Designers, Quality Engineers, and fellow developers to produce secure, high-quality software serving thousands of global customers.

Responsibilities

• Design and build cloud-native .NET services and APIs to support the Unified Accounting Service.
• Update and modernize legacy .NET software to scalable microservices with event-driven architecture.
• Utilize AI coding assistants and development tools daily to review AI-generated code and uphold engineering excellence.
• Partner with Product, Architecture, and UX teams to innovate accounting software solutions.
• Incorporate AI, machine learning, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) features in customer-facing products.
• Develop secure, scalable, and maintainable software using contemporary engineering methodologies.
• Contribute to sprint planning, estimations, and agile development ceremonies.
• Promote continuous improvement through automation, rigorous testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Take part in code reviews to ensure consistent engineering quality across the team.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Over 6 years of experience in commercial software development roles.
• Proficient with C#, .NET 8+, ASP.NET Core, and Entity Framework Core.
• Skilled in designing and implementing REST APIs and microservice/service-oriented architectures.
• Strong command of SQL Server and relational databases.
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as Blazor, React, or Vue.
• Experience developing and deploying cloud-native applications, preferably in Microsoft Azure; AWS experience is also valued.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experienced working in Agile development teams.
• Familiar with AI-supported development environments like GitHub Copilot or similar tools.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a cooperative team-oriented mindset.
• Strong communication skills capable of working effectively in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Additional Skills

• Knowledge of modernizing legacy .NET systems.
• Exposure to accounting, fintech, or payment platforms.
• Understanding of large language models (LLMs), RAG architectures, and AI-powered applications.
• Experience with event-driven frameworks such as Apache Kafka and GraphQL.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools like Playwright.
• Awareness of security standards such as GDPR and PCI compliance.
