About the Role

An esteemed independent financial services firm is expanding its mortgage division, seeking an experienced Senior Mortgage Advisor for its Drogheda office. This senior position demands comprehensive management of the mortgage process—from initial client consultation to loan approval and fund disbursement. Candidates will serve a varied clientele, including first-time buyers, home movers, switchers, self-builders, and property investors. Additionally, the role involves cultivating partnerships with estate agents, solicitors, accountants, and other industry professionals to drive new business and fortify the firm's local market presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver impartial, high-quality mortgage advice tailored to individual client needs while ensuring compliance requirements are met.
• Oversee the entire mortgage journey starting from client fact-finding to loan approval and drawdown stages.
• Accurately complete all necessary Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), affordability checks, and suitability evaluations.
• Efficiently handle a busy caseload, ensuring timely progression of mortgage applications.
• Forge and nurture relationships with estate agents, solicitors, accountants, and other referral sources to expand business opportunities.
• Maintain a robust personal network and consistently meet or exceed sales and revenue objectives.
• Stay informed about the mortgage market in Ireland including product offerings, lender guidelines, interest rates, and regulation updates.
• Support, guide, and mentor junior advisors and administrative staff to enhance overall team effectiveness.
• Ensure CRM systems and client documentation adhere to regulatory standards and remain current.

Candidate Profile

• Possesses QFA qualification and is fully compliant with Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements.
• Brings ideally between three to five years or more experience as a mortgage advisor, preferably within brokerage or independent financial service firms.
• Demonstrated success in meeting mortgage sales targets and business growth goals.
• In-depth understanding of the Irish mortgage marketplace, lender criteria, and Consumer Protection Code.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills foster strong relationship-building.
• Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
• Commercially motivated, aspiring to grow a personal network of clients and introducers.
• Holds a valid driver’s license and has access to a car for occasional client and introducer meetings.
