Job description

Overview

This role is designed for a commercially aware Credit Analyst aiming to advance their career within a vibrant international financial services setting. You will become part of an expanding credit team that manages leasing and asset finance deals across several global markets. Collaborating with seasoned credit experts, your responsibilities will include analyzing risk, facilitating business expansion, and making well-informed lending decisions in a regulated, cooperative context.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess financial data from customers to gauge creditworthiness and establish credit limits.
  • Underwrite and evaluate leasing, asset finance, and invoice finance applications originating from international markets.
  • Perform annual credit evaluations and continuously monitor the credit portfolio.
  • Draft comprehensive credit documentation and recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Conduct thorough counterparty and transactional risk assessments.
  • Work closely with various internal teams and across jurisdictions to oversee client risk and exposure.
  • Contribute to internal initiatives and offer support and training to commercial teams as needed.

Candidate Profile

  • Holds a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
  • Possesses between 2 to 5 years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting, risk evaluation, or commercial lending.
  • Has strong expertise in interpreting financial statements, ratio analysis, and principles of credit risk.
  • Exhibits excellent analytical capabilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Excel and MS Office and comfortable using financial software systems.
  • Capable of managing multiple priorities while adhering to deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
  • Demonstrates strong communication abilities and a cooperative, team-focused mindset.
  • Shows a proactive, positive attitude with a readiness to take initiative and resolve challenges.
