Role Overview

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior or Lead Mobile Engineer with extensive expertise in native iOS development and a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences through a React Native codebase. This hands-on leadership role involves designing and implementing core app features with a focus on native integration, working closely with front-end React developers, and driving performance and developer experience improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and execution of core mobile app features emphasizing deep native iOS integration.
• Collaborate with React front-end engineers to ensure a unified and high-performance mobile experience.
• Apply a strong product-focused approach, partnering with design and product teams to deliver high-impact features swiftly.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance quality and speed without compromising code clarity or test coverage.
• Optimize app performance comprehensively, focusing on speed, battery efficiency, and resilience under real-world conditions.
• Develop robust user flows with elegant error handling suited to field environments.
• Advance the mobile design system and UI consistency through code reviews, pair programming, and mentoring.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• Extensive experience in native iOS development with strong views on mobile architecture to maximize native functionality.
• Proven track record managing App Store releases at scale, developing design systems, and mentoring engineers.
• Proficiency in React Native with deep understanding of its integration with iOS platforms.
• Demonstrated obsession with optimizing performance and enhancing developer experience for mobile engineers.
• Delivering complex, high-performance native iOS applications within multi-disciplinary teams.
• Thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with a proactive and practical mindset.
• In-depth knowledge of performance tuning, accessibility standards, testing methodologies, and code maintainability.
• Academic degree is a plus but not mandatory.
