Role Overview
We are seeking a Talent Specialist who will be instrumental in attracting and hiring outstanding talent across our General & Admin functions, which include Finance, Legal, People, Talent, Commercial Strategy, Marketing, and Executive Operations. Reporting to the Talent Lead, this position involves partnering closely with hiring managers to understand diverse needs, building strong talent pipelines, and managing comprehensive recruitment processes to onboard individuals who embody Halter's values and mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment activities across the General & Admin portfolio, including sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews and assessments, and managing offers.
- Create and implement customized recruitment strategies for a broad spectrum of roles, including specialist and leadership positions.
- Develop and sustain strong candidate pipelines by proactively identifying talent via various channels for current and future hiring needs.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to deeply understand role requirements, team objectives, and organizational context to ensure alignment.
- Offer trusted, data-driven guidance through the hiring process to facilitate confident decision-making.
- Ensure recruitment processes are smooth, effective, and inclusive, maintaining a positive candidate experience that mirrors Halter's culture.
- Maintain meticulous records in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and uphold accurate recruitment workflows.
- Analyze and communicate key recruitment metrics including time-to-fill, pipeline health, and source effectiveness to continuously optimize hiring efforts.
- Contribute to broader initiatives including internal mobility, diversity and inclusion efforts, talent planning, and employer branding.
- Identify and implement improvements in recruitment tools, processes, and practices as the company scales.
- Adapt to additional responsibilities as needed within our fast-paced, evolving environment.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience in talent acquisition, preferably within a rapidly growing or global technology company.
- Track record of delivering top-tier hires across multiple functions, seniority levels, and regions.
- Strong skills in designing and executing tailored sourcing strategies, especially for specialized roles.
- A strategic mindset capable of balancing workforce planning and leadership reporting with hands-on recruitment execution.
- Excellent interpersonal, stakeholder management, and communication abilities, with confidence to advise and challenge hiring teams constructively.
- Experience managing a diverse portfolio of roles efficiently without compromising talent quality or candidate experience.
- Deep knowledge of sourcing methodologies, tools, and channels for identifying exceptional global talent.
- Strong data literacy with the ability to track, analyze, and present recruitment metrics clearly.
- Understanding of New Zealand employment law, immigration policies, and compliance, with knowledge of Australian regulations a plus.
- High emotional intelligence and a communicative, proactive, and accountable approach to work.
