Senior Mobile Developer - Institutional Banking Group Technology

Role Overview

We seek an experienced mobile developer to design, build, and maintain native iOS applications targeting retail and corporate banking clients. This role involves close collaboration with backend teams, UI/UX designers, cybersecurity experts, and QA engineers to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable mobile banking solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, test, and support native iOS applications using Swift, UIKit, and SwiftUI frameworks.
• Develop mobile applications that are secure, scalable, and maintainable for institutional banking customers.
• Design and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services into mobile platforms.
• Engage with cross-functional teams including backend developers, cybersecurity professionals, QA engineers, and solution architects through all development phases.
• Contribute actively in technical design discussions and assist in defining solution architectures.
• Implement robust authentication and authorization mechanisms ensuring secure session management.
• Integrate mobile apps with enterprise backend infrastructures and third-party services securely.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve production issues promptly to ensure application stability.
• Conduct code reviews supporting coding standards and secure development practices.
• Develop unit and automated tests; support continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
• Participate in Agile workflows including sprint planning, daily scrums, and retrospective meetings.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and assist with production release activities.

Skills and Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in native iOS app development.
• Expertise in secure mobile application development and adherence to best practices in app security.
• Knowledge of secure coding concepts, data encryption both at rest and during transmission, and certificate pinning techniques.
• Experience with iOS-specific security features including Keychain, Secure Enclave, and biometric authentication like Face ID and Touch ID.
• Familiarity with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SAML protocols.
• Understanding of JSON Web Tokens (JWT), API security measures, and mitigation of OWASP Mobile Top 10 vulnerabilities.
• Prior involvement in mobile/internet banking applications focusing on fraud detection and mobile security against malware and threats.
• Experience working with mobile threat detection technologies such as Zimperium and vKey or equivalent.
• Knowledge of secure software development lifecycle processes, vulnerability assessment, and code scanning techniques.
• Proficiency in Swift programming language, UIKit/SwiftUI frameworks, Objective-C, and the Xcode development environment.
• Advantageous to have skills in Android/Kotlin/Java and Android Studio environment.
• Understanding of iOS app architectural patterns including MVC, MVVM, and Clean Architecture.
• Hands-on experience consuming RESTful APIs and handling JSON data services.
• Proficient with Git version control and collaborative source code management workflows.
• Strong foundation in software engineering principles and common design patterns.
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Bonus: Experience with Android and Harmony OS mobile development.
• Good communication skills to facilitate effective teamwork within cross-functional groups.

Work Location and Schedule

This position is based at the DBS Asia Hub in Singapore operating on a regular full-time schedule.
