Senior Manager - Machine Learning and AI Safety

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Manager to spearhead AI safety and readiness initiatives for a leading bank based in the United Arab Emirates. This position serves as a critical liaison bridging business units and technical teams to guarantee the security and reliable operation of the bank's AI-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead evaluations and implementation of safeguards for Generative AI systems.
• Develop and deploy predictive machine learning models aligned with business objectives.
• Manage relationships with AI project teams and the AI Center of Excellence members.
• Develop and oversee policies, processes, system architectures, and operational procedures supporting AI safety.
• Identify and capitalize on opportunities outlined in the AI strategic roadmap.

Experience & Qualifications

• At least 7 years of professional experience in machine learning or data science roles.
• Previous work experience within the banking or financial services sector.
• Proficiency in Python programming for AI and data science applications.
• Experience with Explainable AI (XAI) libraries and tools.
• Familiarity with Large Language Model (LLM) evaluation frameworks such as Ragas, Giskard, and Arize.
• Strong systems design capabilities.
• Proven leadership and supervisory experience.

Educational background includes an MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related discipline. A degree is mandatory for application.
