Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Solution Architect to spearhead the creation and implementation of scalable, secure, and business-focused technology solutions. This permanent role is based in Auckland. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with business units and technology teams to craft architecture strategies, formulate solution roadmaps, and ensure that all initiatives comply with enterprise architecture standards.
Core Responsibilities
- Architect comprehensive end-to-end solutions spanning cloud platforms, software applications, data management, system integration, and AI/Generative AI projects.
- Lead architectural governance processes and evaluate diverse technology alternatives.
- Assist in building compelling business cases for technology investments.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to architects and engineering professionals.
- Champion contemporary architectural practices including microservices, domain-driven design, cloud-native solutions, and automation techniques.
- Ensure that security, risk management, and operational obligations are fully addressed.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum five years’ experience as a Solution Architect or in a comparable senior technical role such as Technical Lead or Lead Engineer.
- Proficient with Azure Cloud or equivalent cloud ecosystems.
- Extensive knowledge of application architecture, integration techniques, API design, microservices, data architecture, and the software development lifecycle.
- Familiarity with AI, machine learning, and Generative AI solution architectures.
- Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise-grade digital solutions.
- Industry experience in insurance or financial services is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional skills in stakeholder relationship management, leadership, and communication.
Additional Requirements
- Experience with data modeling and data mapping techniques.
- Hands-on familiarity with Snowflake and/or Microsoft Fabric platforms.
