Role Overview

Within a demanding market balancing rapid performance growth with long-term value preservation, Deloitte's Debt & Capital Advisory team offers independent, world-class advice and execution across all aspects of debt markets. Our team of over 250 debt professionals in Europe collaborates globally to help clients navigate complexities and implement informed financial strategies.

As a Senior Manager in this dynamic and fast-paced environment, you will advise corporate and private equity clients on capital structures, fundraising, refinancing, and debt restructuring. This position provides leadership opportunities, involvement in cross-border deals, and broad networking in debt markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple debt advisory projects with ongoing communication with clients, banks, private credit funds, legal teams, and internal service lines.
• Oversee transaction processes including preparing information packages, management presentations, financial analyses, and coordinating client communications.
• Conduct thorough industry and company research supporting deal origination and transaction evaluation.
• Develop and analyze financial models, including business forecasts, scenario analysis, and covenant assessments.
• Lead negotiations on commercial debt structuring terms within term sheets.
• Contribute to marketing strategies and business development initiatives.
• Maintain an informed perspective on debt market trends.
• Build and nurture networks across private equity firms, banks, credit funds, legal advisors, and Deloitte colleagues.
• Lead transaction teams from inception to completion, acting as the primary liaison for clients.

Candidate Profile and Expertise

• Prior experience in leveraged or structured finance within banks, non-bank institutions, or debt advisory firms.
• Ability to perform detailed financial and commercial analyses suitable for client presentations and reports.
• Proven track record in originating and executing transactions with corporate and private equity backed entities.
• Strong expertise in debt structuring, credit assessment, and advanced financial modeling.
• Experience negotiating term sheets and formal legal agreements.
• Motivation to engage in business development activities.
• Leadership experience overseeing junior team members.
• Professional qualifications such as ACA or CFA are advantageous.
• Fluent communication skills in both spoken and written English.

This position reports to the Head of Debt & Capital Advisory, a leader recognized for a collaborative and empowering management style that emphasizes integrity, innovation, professional growth, and inclusiveness. The position offers a competitive starting salary of €89,050, which can be adjusted based on experience and expertise.
