Job Overview
The Senior Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for the operation, upkeep, testing, and client handover of Security Systems on site. The role involves ensuring that all supporting infrastructure including Networking, CCTV, Access Control Systems (ACS), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), and power systems are available and functioning smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor fault logs, diagnose issues through root cause analysis, and prepare detailed reports on findings.
- Collaborate closely with clients, IT departments, and cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and maintain system integrity.
- Carry out system maintenance tasks such as updating firmware, applying security patches, and managing configurations to ensure peak system performance.
- Maintain thorough records of faults, planned preventive maintenance (PPM), and service callouts.
- Implement and uphold network security protocols, ensuring security systems function correctly and user access is managed appropriately.
- Provide expert advice to clients on potential system upgrades and deliver refresher training sessions when necessary.
- Supervise technicians during system installations, maintenance, and repairs while overseeing day-to-day system operations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Telecommunication, or Information Technology with a foundation in Physics.
- Relevant certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CCNP, BCNE plus specialized security system qualifications in CCTV technologies (Milestone, Genetec, Axis), ACS platforms (LENEL, KERISYS, PAXTON), Biometrics, Barriers, Bollards, Road blockers, Spike bumps, ANPR, and video analytics.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience working with security systems, especially in total implementation or turnaround projects.
