Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Machine Learning Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining machine learning solutions, particularly for applications like document processing and anomaly detection. The role encompasses end-to-end handling of datasets, model training, tuning, deployment of scalable inference services, and strict adherence to compliance and documentation throughout the ML lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate machine learning problem definitions and determine necessary data inputs.
• Construct robust data pipelines that ensure high-quality data for modeling.
• Develop, train, assess, and fine-tune machine learning and deep learning models.
• Deploy models to production environments and continuously monitor for performance degradation or drift.
• Maintain security protocols, protect privacy, and comply with applicable regulations.
• Optimize the performance and cost-effectiveness of infrastructure used for machine learning tasks.
• Create detailed technical documentation and generate model cards to inform stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with software developers to integrate ML models effectively.
• Propose and implement enhancements to existing MLOps pipelines.
• Undertake any additional related duties as required.

Academic and Professional Requirements

• Possess at least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or Data Engineering, with a Master's degree being preferable.
• Have a minimum of five years of practical experience applying machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques.
• Exhibit strong proficiency with Python programming, scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch frameworks, SQL, REST API development, continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD), model monitoring, and adherence to MLOps best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in cloud-based machine learning platforms.
• Previous exposure to projects aimed at government or public sector entities within the Middle East region.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English is advantageous.
