Role Overview

As the Senior Lead of Product & Engineering Analytics, you will spearhead Personio’s data-driven evolution within the Product & Tech (PTech) domain. You will direct the adoption of AI-first methodologies to transform product analytics, fostering automated, self-service insights. Reporting to the Head of Data Analytics, you will collaborate extensively with Product and Engineering leadership while remaining deeply engaged in hands-on data initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement AI-enabled analytical tools that empower Product & Tech teams to autonomously generate insights and automate processes.
• Formulate and advance the data strategy for Product & Tech, aligning it with the evolving product development methods at Personio.
• Establish data utilization practices throughout all phases of the product lifecycle, from discovery and opportunity assessment to post-launch evaluation.
• Create and maintain comprehensive metrics frameworks to gauge and define success criteria across PTech teams.
• Collaborate closely with senior Product and Engineering leaders to underpin strategic and roadmap decisions with rigorous data analysis.
• Cultivate a culture centered on data-driven decision-making and enhance data literacy and self-service capabilities within the PTech division.
• Build and mentor a high-performance analytics team while maintaining an active role in prototyping, modeling, and data analysis tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in analytics or data science, with at least 3 years managing and expanding product analytics teams.
• First-hand experience designing and deploying AI and large language model applications within analytics workflows, including natural language querying, AI-driven insights, and automated anomaly detection.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python or R, and dbt or comparable tools; fluent with BI platforms such as Looker or Tableau, and behavioral analytics tools like Amplitude, Heap, or Mixpanel. Experience with Snowflake is advantageous.
• Proven expertise in defining metrics frameworks and success benchmarks specific to product teams.
• Ability to effectively partner with senior Product and Engineering stakeholders at a strategic level.
• Exceptional communication skills capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences in driving organizational change.
