Job description
About Personio and the Role
Personio is a leading HR platform dedicated to simplifying complex and labor-intensive tasks for small and medium enterprises. With a workforce of 1,500+, Personio serves over 15,000 customers and supports 1.5 million employees through innovative and user-friendly solutions. This position is structured to offer a blend of in-office and remote work, with a requirement of being on-site three days weekly in either Berlin or Munich. Candidates from other German regions may opt for full remote arrangements.
Core Responsibilities
- Handle payroll case processing for customers who require assistance, preparing payroll inputs for senior specialists as part of the payroll cycle.
- Assist in customer onboarding processes related to the alternate payroll system under the guidance of experienced team members, gradually moving towards increased autonomy.
- Recognize and escalate unusual or complex customer situations to senior colleagues instead of independently resolving these issues.
- Adhere strictly to established documentation and assist in updating and maintaining accurate procedural guides by identifying inaccuracies or outdated information.
- Maintain routine communication with Support and Implementation teams for case updates, while escalating complex coordination requirements to senior staff.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Basic understanding of payroll procedures and compliance, with an interest in expanding knowledge towards more complex scenarios.
- Ability to accurately follow documented processes and maintain a high level of precision in task execution.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in both German and English to facilitate clear internal communication.
- A proactive attitude focused on professional growth and willingness to embrace coaching and feedback from senior professionals.
Work Culture and Benefits
The role promotes a hybrid working model, valuing in-person engagement while offering flexibility. Employees have the option to work remotely up to two days per week from their contracted office location and enjoy 20 additional flexible remote days annually.
- Competitive salary and benefits package continuously reassessed yearly, including pre-IPO equity participation.
- 28 days paid leave, increasing with tenure after two and four years.
- One fully paid Impact Day annually, focusing on environmental and social contributions.
- Comprehensive family leave, childcare support, mental health resources, and sabbatical options.
- Regular team activities, cultural events, catered lunches, and workplace amenities such as healthy snacks and beverages.
Diversity and Inclusion
Personio is dedicated to equal opportunity and fostering an inclusive environment that respects and values all employees regardless of gender, civil status, family status, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, educational background, or race.
