Senior Land Surveyor

Overview

We are in search of a qualified Senior Land Surveyor to spearhead surveying operations for significant Oil & Gas EPC ventures and other extensive infrastructure projects. This role suits a detail-oriented professional experienced in engineering and construction surveying thriving in high-demand environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute land survey strategies tailored to project aims and client needs.
• Conduct various types of surveys such as topographic, boundary, control, route alignment, and as-built utilizing cutting-edge surveying tools.
• Confirm onsite conditions and furnish precise data to aid engineering design and construction tasks.
• Set up and sustain survey control networks and benchmarks across project locations.
• Analyze and validate survey data using software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS, preparing comprehensive reports and maps.
• Offer technical advice informed by survey results to help guide design and construction choices.
• Supervise maintenance and calibration of survey instruments like Total Stations, GPS/GNSS, Digital Levels, and Laser Scanners, ensuring compliance with accuracy standards.
• Lead and mentor surveying teams, coordinating resource deployment and liaising with project and construction managers, engineers, and contractors.
• Handle survey-related issues, ensuring all activities conform to project, regulatory, and industry standards with stringent quality control measures.
• Maintain and archive detailed records of surveys, reports, calculations, and communication, supporting audits and client reporting.

Experience and Education Requirements

• A minimum of 8 to 12 years in surveying roles, including at least 3 years in senior or leadership positions.
• Substantial experience in Oil & Gas EPC, civil infrastructure, marine construction, power, utilities, and industrial plant construction projects.
• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Geomatics, Geology, Civil Engineering, Surveying, or related fields.
• Professional Land Surveyor certification is advantageous.

Skills and Competencies

• Expertise in operating Total Stations, GPS/GNSS systems, Digital Levels, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS software.
