Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Java Developer with 5 to 8 years of solid experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications. This role entails working closely with architecture and development teams to build the next-gen platform, emphasizing Spring Boot, microservices, and cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with architects and stakeholders to define and ensure alignment of software architecture with industry standards and project needs.
- Write high-quality, complex code and demonstrate best coding practices as a technical leader.
- Guide and mentor developers, conduct code reviews, and foster adherence to coding and documentation standards.
- Tackle technical challenges by troubleshooting and implementing effective solutions.
- Promote robust communication across teams including product managers, designers, testers, and others.
- Contribute to client interactions such as technical discussions and requirement gathering.
- Containerize applications with Docker and collaborate with DevOps and front-end teams for end-to-end delivery.
- Optimize backend service performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Engage in architectural decision making and advocate best practices in service orchestration.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent from top-tier institutes.
- 5 to 8 years proficiency in Core Java, including in-depth knowledge of OOP and concurrent (multithreaded) programming.
- Strong experience with Spring and Spring Boot frameworks and transitioning monolithic apps to microservices.
- Expertise in designing and developing microservices architectures.
- Solid SQL and database management skills.
- Hands-on experience with AWS for application development and deployment.
- Proficient with version control systems such as Git.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes, and building CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- Skilled in RESTful API development.
- Familiarity with observability tools, including Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack is advantageous.
- Strong independent problem-solving capabilities and effective teamwork skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Additional Preferences
Candidates experienced with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, AntiGravity) to enhance development efficiency will be favored.
