Software Engineer

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer with at least three years dedicated to backend Python development. The candidate will focus on creating and maintaining scalable, high-performance backend services, utilizing frameworks like FastAPI or Flask.

Core Duties

• Collaborate closely with frontend developers and product managers to deliver new functionality.
• Produce clean, maintainable, and well-commented Python code adhering to industry best practices.
• Enhance system efficiency, scalability, and ease of maintenance.
• Quickly diagnose and address issues within backend components.
• Engage in code reviews and work alongside senior engineers to foster skill development.
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and suggest improvements to existing workflows.
• Leverage AI-driven coding assistants such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor to expedite development, automate repetitive tasks, write tests, and aid debugging, while maintaining rigorous code ownership and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience with backend development in Python using frameworks like FastAPI or Flask.
• Strong command of asynchronous programming, RESTful web services, and API concepts.
• Proficient understanding of rate limiting, pagination, and various REST authentication techniques.
• Experience integrating external platforms such as HubSpot or Zoho Books.
• Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools to support coding, refactoring, documentation, and testing tasks.
• Familiarity with database technologies including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Redis.
• Proficient with Git version control systems.
• Experience with testing frameworks like PyTest or Unittest.
• Basic knowledge of CI/CD workflows and automated deployment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and capability to debug complex issues.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with container technologies such as Docker and awareness of Kubernetes.
• Understanding of microservices architectures and event-driven design patterns; experience with message brokers like RabbitMQ or Kafka is advantageous.
• Work experience within Agile or Scrum project management frameworks.

Interdepartmental Collaboration

Monitor proactively and work synergistically with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operational processes. Facilitate clear, effective communication across departments to ensure IT initiatives align with overall business objectives.
