Senior Integration Specialist

Role Mission

This position is focused on architecting, developing, and managing robust and scalable integration solutions spanning enterprise platforms. With the growth of digital services, the role ensures seamless connectivity between systems driven by API-centric and event-driven design approaches while utilizing cloud-native technologies. The Senior Integration Specialist is responsible for driving top-tier middleware and integration implementations that guarantee observability, dependable performance, and operational stability.

Key Accountabilities

• Deliver resilient and scalable integration architectures.
• Execute API, microservices, and event-driven architectural patterns.
• Maintain platform reliability, observability, and operational excellence.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and integration standards.
• Continuously enhance integration methods and standards.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design, code, and maintain integration services primarily using Java and Go.
• Develop and deploy containerized solutions on OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) or Kubernetes clusters.
• Implement seamless API-driven and event-based integration processes connecting various systems and partners.
• Ensure compliance with critical non-functional attributes such as scalability, performance, and fault tolerance.
• Adopt observability best practices leveraging tools like Splunk and telemetry platforms (including logs, metrics, and tracing).
• Address production issues to improve system reliability and troubleshoot integration problems.
• Collaborate closely with DevOps teams to optimize CI/CD pipelines and automate infrastructure setups.
• Embed security best practices throughout APIs, integration layers, and data sharing mechanisms.
• Engage actively in design reviews and contribute to enhancing integration standards and reusable assets.
• Coach and mentor junior engineers, fostering best practices in both development and operations.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 6 to 10 years of experience in integration, middleware, or backend development roles.
• Substantial hands-on expertise in Java and/or Go programming languages.
• Proven background in designing and deploying applications on Kubernetes or OpenShift platforms.
• Demonstrated experience with API design, microservices, and event-driven system architectures.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Splunk, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, messaging queues, and integration design patterns.
• Familiarity with cloud-native environments and distributed system operations.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline development, DevOps methodologies, and automation tools.
