Senior Integration Engineer

About the Role

Cargosrate is a B2B digital freight platform that bridges enterprises with airlines, ocean carriers, freight forwarders, and international logistics collaborators. We are seeking a Senior Integration Engineer to join our Riyadh-based team full-time on-site. This key role involves comprehensive ownership over integrations linking Cargosrate with global logistics networks and corporate systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain interfaces connecting Cargosrate with airline and air cargo systems for rates, timetables, bookings, tracking, and shipment details.
• Create integrations with maritime shippers, ocean freight operators, and their digital platforms.
• Link Cargosrate to freight forwarding entities, international agents, and logistics service vendors.
• Integrate with enterprise clients using SAP, Oracle ERP, and other major enterprise platforms.
• Design and manage integrations utilizing REST APIs, SOAP, Webhooks, OAuth 2.0, JSON/XML, messaging protocols, and queues.
• Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of integrations from initial technical assessment to production deployment and certification.
• Ensure operational excellence through monitoring, logging, retry mechanisms, idempotency, error management, alert systems, and root cause analyses.
• Troubleshoot and resolve challenging issues emerging from production environments spanning multiple external systems and partners.

Requirements

• More than 7 years' practical experience in Integration Engineering, Middleware, backend systems, or API-centric engineering roles.
• Demonstrated capability designing and running scalable, enterprise-grade APIs and system integrations.
• Confirmed expertise integrating with SAP and/or Oracle platforms.
• Deep knowledge of asynchronous integration patterns, distributed architectures, security and authentication protocols, and ensuring production stability.
• Proven ability to independently manage complex integration projects from technical due diligence to live deployment.

Preferred Experience

• Background in logistics, airline and air cargo industries, shipping, freight technologies, supply chain platforms, or B2B marketplace environments is strongly favored.
• Experience delivering integrations that underpin live business operations at scale rather than prototypes working only in testing contexts.
