Role Summary

The Senior Instrumentation Engineer will oversee and evaluate diverse Control & Instrumentation systems and software designs, as well as construction activities, on multiple public infrastructure projects such as treatment plants and pump stations.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing, constructing, and managing Control & Instrumentation systems including field instruments, PLCs, and SCADA used in sewerage treatment and pump station projects.
• Implementing and ensuring proficient use of various PLC and SCADA platforms.
• Providing thorough review, critiques, and acceptance recommendations for contractors' documentation and deliverables.
• Assessing, commenting, and issuing No Objection recommendations on inspections, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and commercial operation testing plans submitted by project entities.
• Reviewing all data tied to the Independent Certifier Agreement (ICA) per PPPA to verify compliance with technical standards, laws, performance criteria, approvals, and industry best practices.
• Participating in commissioning processes and overseeing acceptance tests coordinated with stakeholders and regulating bodies.
• Planning, defining scope, and leading instrumentation shutdown activities ensuring timely completion within allocated windows.
• Taking on design duties and additional tasks as assigned.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Recognition as a Chartered Engineer from a respected professional institution is highly desirable.
• Proven experience supervising and evaluating a wide range of Control & Instrumentation and software design and construction in public infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated capacity in managing design-related tasks and responsibilities on similar projects.
• Commitment to ethical conduct prioritizing safety and security.
• Strong skills in prioritization, focus, advocacy, and accountability.
• Effective and clear communication abilities, both written and verbal.
