Key Responsibilities
- Understand the project scope, budget, and timelines for instrumentation discipline and assist the team to fulfill these requirements effectively.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
- Apply cutting-edge solutions, advanced technologies, and innovative methodologies to manage challenges including work performed out of sequence.
- Support the Lead Engineer in supervising quality assurance activities, actively engage in squad reviews, recommend enhancements, and implement corrective measures.
- Contribute to project documentation such as proposals, cost estimates, budgets, and schedules.
- Prepare final project documents consolidating all key information and pursue client approval.
- Review and authorize documentation and work produced by team members and direct reports.
- Assess new technology developments against current design standards and update standards as applicable.
- Identify emerging technologies that could provide cost savings or improved facility performance.
Quality Assurance
Ensure compliance with established Quality Assurance systems and guidelines throughout project activities.
Safety Responsibilities
- Maintain personal safety by adhering to safe work practices and following occupational health and safety (OH&S) procedures.
- Actively promote health, safety, and environmental awareness within the team.
Qualifications and Accreditation
- A full-time Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation or Electronics Engineering from a recognized university.
- Mandatory accreditation by the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME); candidates without this must be willing to attain it during probation.
- Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status is advantageous or candidates working towards it will be preferred.
Professional Experience
- Extensive experience in instrumentation and control engineering within the oil and gas sector, particularly for offshore projects.
- Strong knowledge of design and engineering principles relevant to instrumentation discipline, including familiarity with interrelated engineering areas.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in using Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI) software.
- Experienced with instrument sizing calculations such as control valve sizing, orifice sizing, voltage drop, instrument air consumption for pneumatic devices, power consumption, and heat dissipation calculations.

- Lead and maintain focus on HSE compliance within the team to meet OHSE standards.
