Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver complex groundwater impact assessments and regional groundwater modelling studies.
• Manage integrated modelling projects that combine surface and groundwater analyses.
• Apply advanced numerical modelling techniques to resolve intricate technical problems in hydrogeology.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across sectors including water resources, mining, infrastructure, energy, and environmental management.
• Oversee projects from initial proposal stages through to successful completion, ensuring high-quality outcomes aligned with client expectations.
• Mentor and guide junior groundwater specialists to foster professional growth within the team.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to support business growth and development in the region.
• Enhance your technical skills through targeted learning programs and participate in mentoring initiatives.
• Contribute to the continual advancement and leadership of the groundwater modelling practice at the company.

Qualifications & Experience

• Master's degree or higher in Hydrogeology, or demonstrable equivalent professional experience.
• At least 10 years of experience in numerical groundwater modelling.
• Proven expertise in conducting complex groundwater modelling assignments.
• Proficiency with key groundwater numerical modelling software such as MODFLOW and FEFLOW.
• Programming experience for automating modelling workflows, preferably using Python and FloPy libraries.
• Skilled in model calibration, uncertainty quantification, and use of PEST tools.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication capabilities.
• Strong project management skills complemented by effective stakeholder engagement.
• Collaborative approach and enthusiasm for coaching the next generation of groundwater professionals.
• Additional experience in surface water-groundwater interactions, solute transport modelling, or involvement in mining and major infrastructure projects is beneficial.
