Senior Go Developer

About the Role

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop core control-plane services such as Registry, Trust Server, Audit Ledger, or Seeker and Provider SDKs in Go, including RESTful APIs and integration with PostgreSQL and Redis databases.
• Implement cryptographic trust mechanisms central to the platform, including Ed25519 signatures, Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs), Verifiable Credentials, and short-lived signed tokens using and enhancing shared libraries.
• Ensure code quality by writing comprehensive unit and integration tests, adhering to linting, security scans, and conformance standards within CI pipelines.
• Maintain thorough documentation by producing design notes, architectural decision records (ADRs), and runbooks as part of development.
• Perform code reviews prioritizing security best practices such as input validation, secret management, and careful error handling.
• Proactively identify and escalate potential gaps or risks early in the development process.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• A minimum of six years’ experience in backend service development, complemented by a bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field or demonstrated practical experience.
• Strong expertise in production-grade Go programming, producing clean, idiomatic, and test-covered code with the capability to troubleshoot complex service issues under load.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL and familiarity with Redis data stores.
• Experience deploying and managing applications on major cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Working knowledge of security and authentication protocols including TLS, JWT, OAuth2, or OIDC, coupled with a security-first mindset when coding.
• Ability to work independently, taking ownership of problems and asking insightful questions early to minimize supervision.
• Excellent written communication skills to create clear, standalone documentation and code reviews.

Additional Advantages

• Experience with W3C Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs) or Verifiable Credentials.
• Knowledge of JOSE internals, DPoP, HTTP message signatures, or JSON Canonicalization Scheme (JCS).
• Background in payments, fintech, or other regulated and high-trust system domains.
• Contributions to open-source projects in Go.
