Position Overview

We seek a Developer Advocate to join our Product Management team and help shape developer interactions with advanced streaming infrastructure. This role suits an early-career professional who bridges complex technology with developer empathy, crafting accessible and engaging developer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the voice of developers within MK.IO by advocating for their needs and transforming feedback into actionable product enhancements.
• Build and maintain a vibrant developer community using forums, social channels, and direct communication.
• Develop and sustain feedback mechanisms to ensure every developer's input is acknowledged and valued.
• Lead transformation of documentation and learning materials including tutorials, guides, and interactive demos to make MK.IO approachable.
• Create diverse technical content such as videos, blogs, and tutorials to highlight the streaming platform's capabilities.
• Represent MK.IO in webinars, conferences, and developer events, serving as a public spokesperson.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to guarantee that new features come with developer-friendly interfaces and clear documentation.
• Test and evaluate new functionalities from a developer perspective, ensuring alignment with self-service standards.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Marketing, or comparable field with a strong enthusiasm for technology and creativity.
• Practical experience with web technologies, APIs, and modern development frameworks.
• Keen interest or understanding of video streaming concepts and media technology.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python or JavaScript.
• Excellent written and verbal communication that simplifies complex technical ideas.
• Background in creating technical educational content including blogs, tutorials, documentation, or videos.
• Empathy towards developer challenges and dedication to supporting their success.
• Active involvement in developer communities, forums, or open source projects.
• Strong networking skills and enthusiasm for fostering relationships.
• Innovative problem-solving capabilities and openness to experimentation.
• Analytical aptitude to assess community engagement and content performance.
• Legal authorization to work in the UK without sponsorship.
