Senior Tax Expert

Company Overview

We are partnering with a fast-growing, internationally oriented company in the finance sector seeking an experienced Senior Tax Expert. This pivotal role involves managing tax matters at both national and international levels and contributing to the advancement of a modern tax function within a dynamic corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for all tax-related issues across the company group
• Manage corporate income tax, trade tax, and value-added tax aspects
• Support and coordinate tax returns and tax calculations
• Assist in tax-related year-end financial statement processes and collaborate with auditors and tax consultants
• Provide support during tax audits and liaise with tax authorities
• Review and optimize existing tax processes and organizational structures
• Advise on investments, growth initiatives, and international business transactions
• Participate in transfer pricing and international tax topics
• Monitor legal changes and derive appropriate actions
• Support finance digitalization and automation projects

Candidate Profile

• Successfully completed studies focusing on taxation, finance, economics, or law
• Several years of practical experience in corporate tax departments, tax consultancy or auditing firms
• Comprehensive knowledge of German tax law
• Strong expertise in corporate tax, trade tax, and VAT
• Experience in preparing, reviewing, or coordinating tax declarations
• Knowledge of international tax environments and transfer pricing is advantageous
• Familiarity with IFRS is desirable
• Proficient in ERP systems, ideally SAP
• Methodical, self-driven, and solution-oriented working style
• Excellent communication skills with confident presence in dealings with internal and external stakeholders
• Fluent in German and English
