Role Overview

As a Senior Finance Analyst specializing in eCommerce, you will oversee key financial operations, controls, and FP&A activities globally within our eCommerce division. Reporting to the Associate Director of Finance - eCommerce, you will ensure precise month-end closings, diligent budget tracking, comprehensive financial reporting, and efficient finance process management. Your insights will underpin commercial and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accurate and timely execution of financial trackers, purchase order approvals, and coding.
• Prepare and input month-end journal entries including inter-entity recharges and year-end adjustments.
• Collect documentation for audit queries and resolve routine financial requests.
• Serve as an ERP super user responsible for maintaining accurate data on launches, bundles, and pricing.
• Assist with Accounts Payable inquiries and provide backup support for critical finance execution tasks.
• Oversee budgeting and forecasting activities for eCommerce development, technology, marketing, returns, logistics, customer service, and administrative expenses.
• Coordinate detailed budget submissions and collaborate closely with the Associate Director during planning cycles.
• Generate eCommerce P&L statements and monthly finance reviews with clear variance analyses.
• Produce weekly finance reports ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Support reconciliation of sales-to-cash and returns/refunds through detailed data analysis.
• Validate monthly duty calculations, returns reconciliations, and customer service variance reviews.
• Manage quarterly VAT/GST and indirect tax compliance across eCommerce markets through a detailed country matrix; identify and escalate risks or registration needs.
• Assist with VAT filings, Department of Revenue notices, and compliance administration activities.
• Administer coupon code approvals and enforce associated controls.
• Maintain contract renewal reminders and perform legal entity verification.
• Facilitate user acceptance testing focused on pricing and validate bundle pricing; coordinate implementation of agreed price changes.
• Provide financial insights and analyses for campaign and promotional reviews.
• Conduct detailed financial modeling for business initiatives as requested.
• Identify opportunities to enhance processes, reporting, and controls within your remit.
• Cover daily sales performance monitoring and landing oversight in the Associate Director's absence, escalating significant risks or opportunities to senior leadership.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or controlling, ideally within beauty, luxury, direct-to-consumer, or eCommerce sectors.
• Hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline; professional finance certifications are advantageous.
• Demonstrated expertise in month-end close processes, budgeting, forecasting, and P&L analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel alongside strong skills in ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a dedication to financial accuracy.
