Job Overview
This position is accountable for managing and advancing cybersecurity operations throughout Specialized’s networks, systems, and applications. The focus is on efficient threat monitoring, swift incident response, systematic vulnerability management, and thorough risk mitigation to uphold robust cybersecurity defenses across the organization.
Primary Duties
- Lead ongoing surveillance of Specialized’s IT infrastructure including networks, applications, and critical integration points with major clients to detect, appraise, and counter cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities in a proactive manner.
- Supervise the deployment and performance of security controls on network assets, systems, and security platforms, ensuring strict compliance with recognized cybersecurity frameworks, regulatory standards, and current best practices.
- Direct Security Operations Center (SOC) activities, guaranteeing efficient threat detection, incident evaluation, response coordination, and issue resolution aligned with established service quality and operational benchmarks.
- Analyze cybersecurity incidents and attack trends in depth to uncover root causes, propose corrective measures, and enhance the overall security stance.
- Steer security and vulnerability assessments including penetration testing and guide remediation planning across critical networks, systems, and applications.
- Manage vulnerability administration by overseeing patching, system hardening, and security configurations to minimize organizational risk exposure.
- Collaborate with Strategy & Governance teams and other stakeholders to maintain cybersecurity documentation, records, and evidence necessary for compliance, audits, and regulatory evaluations.
- Report cybersecurity risks, incident developments, and security guidance to leadership and relevant parties, facilitating well-informed decision-making.
- Incorporate threat intelligence and emerging threat data to enhance the organization's preventive and detective security mechanisms.
- Track cybersecurity key performance indicators, incident patterns, and overall operational success, recommending measures to upgrade SOC maturity and security effectiveness.
- Contribute to the continuous refinement of cybersecurity frameworks, operational protocols, and incident response processes.
- Promote cybersecurity education and knowledge exchange among operational teams to boost preparedness and response capabilities.
Educational and Experience Requirements
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Information Security, System Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least six years of relevant professional experience in cybersecurity operations or a similar field.
- Proficient fluency in English to effectively communicate business and technical information.
