Job Overview
The Senior Media Analyst will spearhead the management of media relations for stc, operating under the guidance of the Corporate Communication leadership. The role involves ensuring alignment with established business policies and procedures throughout all activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Corporate Communication efforts by delivering widespread media coverage across multiple platforms including television, newspapers, and social media to engage diverse customer segments.
- Establish and nurture enduring relationships with both local and international media outlets such as TV channels and print/digital news agencies to boost the STC brand presence and maintain its leadership in telecom news within the region.
- Continuously monitor media mentions related to STC, providing prompt, high-quality feedback or rebuttals to counteract any unfavorable press and protect the brand’s reputation.
- Compile and deliver monthly reports on media coverage and its impact from both global and local news sources to the Corporate Communication team and senior management.
- Offer media assistance to the GCEO, top executives, and group CEOs during regional and global events by securing TV appearances and journalist appointments to ensure active STC representation for stakeholders and potential investors.
- Collaborate with the Media Relation Content Support unit to craft press releases, talking points for interviews, and speeches for executives, ensuring consistency with STC's brand strategy and quality standards.
- Work proactively with various STC sectors to plan annual media coverage requirements.
Experience & Background
A minimum of 2 years of experience is required, preferably in public and media relations within a major organization in the telecommunications sector.
