Senior Engineer - International Product Support Engineering

About the Role

The Senior Engineer position on the International Product Support team at Dell Technologies in Cork, Ireland focuses on ensuring optimal product performance by addressing technical product defects. This role involves detailed analysis of issues raised by Technical Support teams or discovered through direct experience, helping to deliver unparalleled technical support and liaising closely with Engineering teams to resolve potential defects. The position involves direct communication with external customers to explain the findings.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and networking within AI-focused solutions and Enterprise PowerEdge Server platforms alongside Engineering, Quality, and Support teams.
• Lead and coordinate the resolution of intricate technical problems by working in collaboration with global Technical Support, technology partners, and customers.
• Act as a customer advocate by providing insights to drive engineering corrective actions and ongoing enhancements.
• Perform thorough validation and characterization of field-reported defects, collaborating directly with developers, suppliers, and partners.
• Maintain detailed documentation of technical insights, solutions, and outcomes to aid knowledge dissemination and product refinement.

Candidate Profile

Essential

• Professional or internship experience with enterprise hardware, software, or networking technologies.
• A genuine interest and enthusiasm for customer engagement within Dell's ecosystem.
• Practical knowledge in networking and communications technologies such as Ethernet, TCP/IP, NC-SI, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, or InfiniBand.

Desirable

• Current enrollment in or attainment of an undergraduate degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
