Job Overview
This position as a Senior Software Engineer entails leading software development efforts and driving innovation. The role focuses on designing scalable and high-performing software systems, producing and reviewing code, and ensuring alignment with the company's engineering strategy. Expertise in React, TypeScript, and Next.js is essential for leading complex feature development, mentoring team members, and promoting engineering quality to address real customer needs and improve web applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop robust, scalable, and reliable software solutions by applying modern engineering practices and continuously improving the technology landscape.
- Expertly optimize web performance metrics focusing on Core Web Vitals such as Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), Interaction to Next Paint (INP), Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS), and Time to First Byte (TTFB) to enhance customer experience.
- Support platform health, stability, and growth by managing technical debt, enhancing system performance, and influencing engineering standards in collaboration with wider technical teams.
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers and work closely with Product Managers and Designers to achieve customer-centered outcomes aligned with business objectives.
- Own operational excellence duties including engaging in on-call rotations, incident response, and proactively improving system stability, security, and maintainability.
Qualifications and Skills
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Advanced knowledge of frontend technologies including React, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Next.js.
- Experience in building large-scale, high-traffic web applications utilizing modern architectural patterns such as Micro Frontends, Single-Page Applications (SPA), and Server-Side Rendering (SSR).
- Familiarity with GraphQL, cloud-native solutions (AWS), container technologies like Docker, and contemporary CI/CD workflows.
- Proven capability in agile environments to design and deliver top-tier software solutions.
- Strong collaboration skills working with cross-functional teams spanning Product, Design, and Engineering to meet customer-driven goals.
- Track record of mentoring junior developers, enhancing engineering best practices, and fostering continuous improvement in development teams.
- Preferred knowledge of application security standards with OWASP familiarity.
- Deep understanding of web performance tuning focusing on Core Web Vitals (INP, LCP, CLS, TTFB).
