Role Summary
We are seeking a motivated Sales Account Executive to join our dedicated team focused on driving sales and expanding Matterport's footprint in New South Wales, Queensland, and the Northern Territories. This role targets medium to large clients across sectors such as AEC, Commercial Real Estate, Retail, Facilities Management, and Hospitality. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and consistently surpasses sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full sales cycle from pipeline generation, closing deals, to post-contract customer support.
- Consistently surpass quarterly sales goals involving Matterport SaaS, hardware, and service offerings through both face-to-face and virtual client engagements.
- Focus on acquiring new clients while also nurturing and expanding business within selected existing accounts.
- Proactively build a strong sales pipeline by prospecting both existing and prospective customers within the assigned territory.
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop territory-specific marketing strategies including participating in trade shows, exhibitions, regional networking events, and customer engagement activities.
- Deliver compelling sales and technical presentations and product demonstrations both in-person and online, including proficiency in operating Matterport’s Pro 3 Lidar camera.
- Deepen understanding of product features and client benefits to effectively communicate Matterport's value proposition within relevant industries.
- Maintain operational excellence by providing accurate forecasts on weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales performance using tools such as Salesforce and Clari.
- Effectively utilize allied sales tools including Gong, Groove, Highspot, LinkedIn, and Looker to support sales activities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Services, Customer Success, Support, and Pre-Sales teams to devise and implement client support strategies.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification is mandatory.
- At least six years of field sales experience within the SaaS industry with a strong track record of securing multi-year contracts across multiple business cycles.
- Consistently achieved or exceeded 100% of sales quotas based on SaaS Annual Contract Value (ACV).
- Capacity to conduct 10-12 customer meetings weekly.
- Proficient in value-based solution selling employing ROI analysis and the MEDDPICC sales methodology for mid-market and enterprise deals.
- Experience managing sales cycles averaging 4 to 9 months and developing robust sales pipelines.
- Proven sales expertise in sectors including Commercial or Residential Real Estate, Facilities Management, Manufacturing, Travel & Hospitality, and Construction.
- Demonstrates resilience and a collaborative team-oriented approach.
