Job Responsibilities

• Analyze electrical designs and specifications to generate precise cost forecasts covering materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracting needs.
• Comprehend and apply bid depository rules to ensure bids are accurate and comply with regulations.
• Use Accubid software to create and monitor project budgeting and cost control systems.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to collect detailed estimating information.
• Investigate cost differences and variances for review by management.
• Take part in bid and proposal meetings, delivering estimates and addressing client and stakeholder inquiries.
• Keep updated with current industry standards, trends, and best practices.
• Support team objectives by completing related tasks as required.

Required Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience estimating electrical work in heavy industrial construction, including projects such as distribution centers, automotive manufacturing plants, and data centers.
• Experience preparing estimates for projects approximately valued at $50 million.
• Expertise using Accubid and other industry-standard estimation software.
• In-depth understanding of electrical trade scopes and bid depository regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret complex electrical drawings and specifications.
• Strong analytical and mathematical capabilities.
• Excellent organizational skills with aptitude for managing multiple concurrent projects.
• Self-driven, detail-focused, and capable of working independently or collaboratively within a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
