Key Responsibilities
The Electrical Estimator will be tasked with preparing precise and commercially competitive cost estimates. This involves analyzing tender requests, reviewing technical specifications, and understanding contractual obligations. The role demands the preparation of detailed cost plans, soliciting quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, and performing thorough material and labor take-offs. Interaction with internal teams is required to collate critical tender data, along with participation in site inspections, client tender meetings, and project kick-offs. Additionally, the position includes managing and supporting Estimating Engineers to ensure tender submissions are comprehensive, compliant, punctual, and of high quality with strong commercial insight.
Candidate Profile
- In-depth understanding of contemporary estimating and commercial methodologies.
- Solid knowledge of engineering principles and project management processes.
- Familiarity with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and adherence requirements.
- Awareness of Quality Assurance (QA) procedures and compliance obligations.
- Effective communication skills across different levels within the organization and with clients.
- Advanced computer proficiency.
- Extensive background in preparing estimates conforming to standards prevalent in Power & Energy, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Nuclear, Utilities, and Food & Drink industries.
