Senior Electrical Engineer

Overview

This role involves providing expert technical assistance to various departmental divisions concerning major infrastructure such as Common Cooling Water Systems, Desalination and Potable Water networks, Waste Management, Treated Water distribution, and associated utilities. It encompasses developing Engineering Standards and Technical Guidelines that incorporate the latest advancements in Process, Engineering, Safety, and Environmental technologies relevant to department facilities and projects in the Ras Laffan area.

Responsibilities

The job focuses on technical problem-solving through research grounded in fundamental engineering principles, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with industry best practices.

Required Experience and Skills

• Possession of 12 to 15 years of diverse experience in Electrical Engineering encompassing conceptualization, facility and project design, management, commissioning, start-up, and troubleshooting in the Oil, Gas, and Petrochemical sectors.
• At least 5 to 8 years serving in senior supervisory roles overseeing significant projects.
• Excellent communication abilities combined with strong influence, presentation, and negotiation competencies.
• Proficiency in computer applications, specifically technical and simulation software relevant to engineering tasks.
• Demonstrated leadership and motivational capabilities with the resilience to operate effectively under pressing deadlines.

Educational Qualifications

The candidate must hold a Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Additionally, chartered membership of the pertinent professional institute or organization is required.
