About the Role
Join Arup's MEP team as a Senior Electrical Engineer, contributing your expertise primarily in Electrical Services design to ensure the successful execution of projects. You will play a significant role in enriching the team's project management and technical proficiency while helping shape the strategic direction and positioning of the MEP business within Singapore's market. This includes involvement in business planning and fostering skill development and procedural improvements within the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the conceptual and detailed electrical design process across various projects by producing design calculations, drawings, and specifications.
- Conduct technical reviews of MEP projects and other interdisciplinary projects involving the MEP team to verify that project approaches and deliverables meet standards at all key phases.
- Support capability enhancement within the Electrical team to service Singapore's target markets in alignment with the Group’s business strategy.
- Oversee coordination of design activities, processes, and technical standards, ensuring up-to-date design methodologies, review procedures, references, and software usage.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with industry networks, clients, government bodies, consultants, and contractors connected to the MEP team's work.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a university recognized by the Singapore Professional Engineers Board.
- Have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in electrical design within an engineering consultancy, demonstrating successful delivery of complex electrical services projects on time and budget.
- Hold a Singapore Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent Chartered Engineer qualification.
- Exhibit resilience and ability to motivate the team under pressure, assisting colleagues to meet deadlines effectively.
- Capable of designing and executing project solutions both in office and onsite environments.
